Old oak beams

Old oak beams

Specifications
Wood type Old Oak
Woodworking Fine sawn - sawn / rough - artificially dried
Thickness 10-30 cm
Length 200 - 800cm

Origin and quality

The old wood offered by Hoogenhoff comes from old houses and barns. Through years of exposure to wind and weather, this wood gets a warm and characteristic appearance. Only wood that is still strong and of excellent quality is selected and offered by us. We have this in stock in different sizes for various applications, such as tables, kitchens, wall coverings, stairs, and so on. All the old wood we offer for furniture applications is artificially (re)dried. This is easy to achieve with our own drying chambers, but has great added value. After all, by reducing the moisture content of the wood, it becomes considerably easier to process it and any subsequent movement of the wood is minimized. Just as important, moreover, is that during the drying process all the pests present in the wood are killed.

Features Old wood

Old wood - think of oak beams, too - has the great advantage that it is already finished. It has a special authentic appearance that can hardly be matched by new wood. Hoogenhoff's selection of old wood is top quality and will last a lifetime. It is suitable for many applications, such as tables, kitchens, wall coverings, stairs, and so on. To reduce humidity and render harmless any pests present, the wood is artificially dried for furniture applications.

Stock of Old wood

Thanks to our large storage facilities, we can deliver a wide variety of dimensions of old wood from stock. At the bottom of this page you will find an overview of all dimensions we have in stock. Besides the regular supply of beams and planks, Hoogenhoff also offers oak roof boarding, Swedish rebate, gunwale boards, pegs and dowels. Besides old wood we also supply new European oak and oak beams, ash, American nuts and Yellow poplar. Everything directly imported and in stock. Would you like an offer?
